Nature Fold began with a simple idea: that the things we fill our homes with should be made from what the earth already gives us, not spun from plastic, not stamped out by the thousand, but grown, gathered and woven by hand.
We at Nature Fold care about where things come from. Every piece we sell is made from natural plant fibres, jute, seagrass, water hyacinth, rattan and cotton, worked by skilled artisans in Bangladesh and China who have carried these weaving traditions through generations. When you run your hand over one of our baskets, you're feeling real craftsmanship, not a machine's imitation of it.
Why natural materials matter to us
The fibres we choose grow quickly and renewably. Our water hyacinth is especially close to our hearts, it's an invasive plant that clogs rivers and lakes, so gathering it to weave something beautiful puts a problem plant to good use. Where a piece includes a liner or fixing that isn't purely natural, we tell you plainly on its product page. We'd rather be honest about the small things than dress the whole range up as something it isn't.
Nothing we make is designed to be used once and thrown away. A good woven basket, cared for gently, will be part of your home for many years, and that longevity is its own kind of kindness to the planet.
Beautiful shouldn't mean expensive
We believe a home made with natural, handcrafted things shouldn't be a luxury reserved for a few. By working closely and directly with our makers, we keep our prices fair and honest, so you can choose materials you feel good about without paying a premium for the privilege.
That's the fold in our name: nature, gently folded into everyday life. Thank you for weaving it into yours.
